we have a booking-system like this: an event-record has max-cancellation-days and min-cancellation-days.. when an event is cancelled before max-cancellation-days, the fee is none. if it is cancelled between (> max-cancelllation-days and <= min-cancellation-days the fee is the lower fee, of the 2. and if it is cancelled after, the higher fee is applied. it is a simple if, else, elsif statement, that sends the emails accordingly. however, it does not do it. it is not consistent. you fix that. then we have a group-size-parameter for each event. min: for example 3 max: for example 5. whenever a 6th person would open a browser, he would see the "waitinglisticon". in some cases, only the 7th person sees that. the 6th person gets an onscreen and by email-statement, that he/she is on the waitinglist. you straighten the code to match both definitions. php is your favorite tool. you are very experienced with it. you work carefully to catch unforseen parametervalues and feedback the user with senseful and helpful statements (ours are all in a table)(should do, at the moment, please keep an eye on it). you are flexible to make sure, the code works in opera, chrome, ie, firefox (should do, at the moment, please keep an eye on it) you test at least twice before you come back and feedback the job to be finished. and if you have a longterm cooperation in mind (not a must, please state), it would start to make really sense. we are one of the bigger partners in odesk. we pay promptly and more than fair. and we expect quick and smart sustainable work.
