I need something done super fast for an event March 25, which is a music and film spotlight in Santa Monica. I have a good idea what I want and all the raw materials ready Among the Wordpress templates I was experimenting with, this one is pretty close (though I won't need anything quite this complex): http://themeforest.net/item/aventador-premium-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/1405385 I have a domain/hosting w BlueHost, and was hoping to build the site myself in WP, so I hunted around for a template I liked. I thought the template I sent would be a good starting point as far as creating a look/feel and style for the page with you and to more easily collaborate on content organization. I'd love for you to design something from scratch! What I like about that theme is that most of what I want can actually be put on the home page. We have three featured artists performing, and I’d like to have scrolling pics of them with brief text on the side of each, just like this theme. Below that, some pics from our last event. Below that a two-paragraph description of the event and what we’re about. Below that, social network links with scrolling testimonials on the side, just like this design. If you can pull all that off, we probably won’t need too many other pages. A second page could operate like the “portfolio” page on this theme (select the project option). There I’d have a unique profile on each of the artists, with a picture and more fleshed description/bio on them. I’d also like to put some simple audio samples up of their music – sound cloud or whatever is easy. We could have all of the artists on one long page together, or have three separate pages (which might look better but take more work and time) Another page with map/directions, a contact form and a link to eventbrite to purchase tickets. We could conceivably do this with three pages. Nothing too complex, but I’m real big on the style -- it needs some mojo. That's why I was hoping to work with you....I want something elegant and strong, but with a mystique that works with a creative and artsy series -- not corporate at all. Deadline is A.S.A.P. -- I wanted to have this up by Monday, so hopefully by Sunday Feb 12 at the latest. Peter
