AUTOMATION JOB - SEARCH GOOGLE & RECORD TWO LINES OF THE RESULTS Very simple job for windows applications (vb or c#) Code is required -- should be in visual studio 2005, 2008 or 2010 Step 1- There are two csv lists. List 1 contains items. List 2 is empty. Open list 1. Step 2 - Get first item on list 1 Step 3 - Google the item mentioned in step 2 (above) Step 4 - Google returns results. Write the following to list 2 - a) the item that was searched (from list 1) b) the number of records located - google says " About 430,000 results" - record 430,000 c) if google responds with "did you mean: xyz" then record xyz otherwise record null (google Dredasds as a test and look at results) Step 5 - Move to next item on list 1 until list 1 has been finished Example of list 1 - (two line list - for example only) Car, Dredasds Example of list 2 - (two line list - for example only) Car, 1,245,000, null --- Search term = "car", Google says "about 1,245,00 record",Google says "did you mean was not returned on google" Dredasds, 42, Did you mean: freida fgres fgrhsaa freds -- Search term = "Dredasds", Google says "about 42 records", Google says "Did you mean: freida fgres fgrhsaa freds" CODE SHOULD BE TESTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 2,000 SEARCH (AUTOMATED -- DO LOOP IF X < 2000 OR HOWEVER) TO VERIFY THAT GOOGLE DOES NOT BLOCK CODE FROM RUNNING -- OTHERWISE I.P. ADDRESS SHOULD BE HIDDEN OR VARIED DURING SEARCHES TO NOT BE BLACKLISTED BY GOOGLE
