Looking for long-term web-programmer who can perform both "break/fix" and
"project style" work. Ideally, I'm looking for someone to be a part of my team, long term, to help me.

Note: Absolutely no "hiring managers" please. I only work DIRECT with programmers, one on one. No "teams" or "hiring managers".

Sometimes, I need "emergency help." I cannot wait 6 and 12, 24 or 48 hours to get "service." People need my website for data; and I need for them to make sales.

Sometimes, I need "project work." For instance, I have a full "Pay Per View" site integrated with Joomla and Infusionsoft and PHP.

Other times, I have "short work" that needs to be done. "Hey, this link goes to nowhere." "This looks wierd." "Users report a problem with Y." "I need this form updated."

You might be asking "Will I be getting STEADY work from this?" The short answer is: there's always something to do, but it might not be your "total full time job" working for me. If you had one or two other customers like me, you'd certainly have a full day.

So, it is very important to know what TIME ZONE you're in. I'm in New York time, so 0, 1, 2 or 3 or 4 (max) hours BEHIND me or AHEAD of my is preferred. Must have Joomla experience as my whole world is now in Joomla and no immediate plans to change.

Sorry.. Please don't respond if you are more than 4 hours AHEAD or BEHIND New York Time.

We use SVN system, so having SVN skills are a MUST.

As the web programmer, you would work closely with my "operating system / security guy" for ensuring we're up to date with everything such as patches, etc.

Current architecture is:
() CentOS
() Joomla / PHP
() PHP Cake
() 3 websites
() vBulletin / VBseo
() Infusionsoft backend (knowledge of their API a HUGE plus !)
() Beanstalk SVN system with DEV and LIVE environments.

Future projects include:
() Update to previous programmers' work on web statistics
() Lots of current "broken" that "needs fixing" stuff

ABSOLUTE MUSTS:
() You need to be able to be available to work / be on skype "New York Timezone" hours 10 AM - 4.00 PM, because that's when I work.
() Knowledge of how to use Subversion system
() Good English skills.

Nice to haves:
() You are OK to "call" using SKYPE. I prefer "skype talk" over "skype chat." So, if you are uncomfortable with speaking English with me, this isn't the right job for you.
() Web / Graphic design skills
() Plesk / cPanel experience
() mySQL DB experience
() API experience to 3rd party systems (Infusionsoft a real plus.)
() A "backup" person on your team to help in emergencies if you are not avaialble
() SEO experience with Joomla and VBseo

I think it would be in your best interest to express which of these exact qualifications you DO HAVE and which ones you DONT have. It's OKAY if you don't have some of the "nice to haves." But a one line response like "I'm ready; please hire me" or sending me a template of your skills is not enough for me to make an informed decision about who my next programmer is going to be.

If you want to ASK QUESTIONS, you should ASK QUESTIONS. That's totally a-ok.

In your response, let me know what TIME ZONE you are in, and if you're totally commited to working 10AM to 4PM New York time.

I don't expect to be your only client. But when "something bad happens" to my website, and I need to reach out and talk with you to fix it, I really need for you to be there... or able to fix it before end of the day NY Time.

Thanks !
