Lead Senior Software Engineer-Embedded As a key player in the open source industry, Symphony Teleca is looking for a Lead Senior Software Engineer with expertise in the automotive infotainment space. This position requires that candidates demonstrate a proven track record of technical leadership in IVI, Connectivity and Cluster projects. It is likely that such experience has been gained at an Automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier (head units and or cluster), or alternatively at a Tier 2 software solutions provider delivering automotive IVI systems and related embedded solutions. This opportunity requires proven technical interfacing skills and an in-depth understanding of automotive program life cycles and OEM development cycles. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience as the project “single point of contact” between the customer and the development team. This position requires that the candidate shall; 1. Engage closely with customers, 2. Support technical bids and effort estimation, 3. Provide technical sales support activities, 4. Assist in defining Embedded development methodologies & acceptance standards, 5. Advise on customer Embedded development strategies, 6. Prepare software development plans, 7. Understand the Teleca software development process and be able to map this to our customers internal processes, 8. Advanced programming skills, 9. Advise Teleca internally with regard to customer specific technical strategies, Requirements: Formal Education: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent required Required Experience: • 5+ years experience in a software leadership role • 5+ years experience software development in the HMI/IVI area • 3+ year experience developing software (C, C++, Python, Java, Embedded) • Connectivity of peripherals (CAN, MOST) Specific Job Skills: • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills. • Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and motivate team members • Due to the growth nature of the business, a very high level of energy and commitment and a strong focus on immediate output is expected • Must be willing to travel as needed Engineer-EAs a member of the Symphony Teleca team, you will enjoy the opportunity to work closely with our international customers and you feel comfortable to visit and help our client’s onsite, when necessary.
