Overview
----------
This is an opportunity to transcribe 20 interviews, each approximately 1 hour in duration to assist with a PhD in Psychology. The successful applicant must be a native English speaker, since sometimes the speakers talk rapidly in English in a variety of accents including Scottish and Chinese. Please read this description in its entirety. Thanks!

Requirements
---------------
You will be given 20 interviews of approximately 1 hour in duration, of an interviewer and an interviewee being asked questions about their childhood. The files provided will be in high quality MP3 format via email. You must:

- submit documents in Word format
- put statements of the interviewer in bold
- the dialog must be transcribed exactly as it is said, including errors, 'mmms' and so on
- place the main questions on a separate line with a blank line above and below
- whenever a persons name, a city name or country appears, you should put [person 1]/[country 1]/[city 1] in the main transcription, with a list of what each item is at the end of the document
- you must take all reasonable steps to ensure the audio files and transcriptions are not disclosed to anyone else, and the data is deleted once you complete the job

Questions to Answer in Application

You must answer all the questions below for your application to be considered.

1) How many hours do you expect it would take you to transcribe a 1 hour interview? (Please be realistic - we are not simply going to go with the lowest hourly estimate, but the person most capable of delivering high quality transcriptions in a reasonable timeframe and cost. We may carry out a trial with the first document so ).
2) How many hours per week do you have available to work on this task during the next 3 weeks and when can you start?
3) What (if any) experience of transcription do you have? Do you have experience of transcribing interviews or natural conversations?

_So, I would like you to start by helping me get oriented to your early family situation, so I would like to know where you lived, if you, where were you born and if you moved around much, you know, what your family did at various time for a living, with whom did you live._

Mmm OK um...I was born in [country 1]... umm, only child, _mmm hmm_, um my um cause of my father's work, it was in a shipping company, so many offices so we had to move every three years, _mmm hmm_, so I had to change nursery every two years, _mmm hmm_, I know that's important now so I'm gonna tell you all these... um so we had to move all the time, so I know I was never, if we're gonna link that, I was never able to make steady friends so I was used to change nurseries so I had to re- readapt myself to the situation... and um, I've lived in [country 1] until the age of 30 um 32, _OK and then where were you?_ I went to [city 1], studied two years of a, took a Computer Science degree, then I went to [city 2], [country 2] where I did an undergraduate in Philosophy and now I'm here, for work. _OK, and anybody else besides your parents that lived in the house when you were young, when you were a young child?_ No, lived no... _No..._ I mean we had regular visits by my aunts, from both sides, and friends but... _how regular? Tell me more about that..._ Um, we actually we went to see them as well, like they they live in a different city, _mmm hmm_, sometimes we just went there, _mmm hmm_, for weeks at the time, I mean we have a a good relationship with my mother's and my father's parents. _OK_ it was very simple I mean I can't really pin point any issues or something, um... _you don't have to..._ no no of course I don't but I want to, I guess that's the whole point... _not really..._ well OK you know better but um... _OK_.
